Description: Dramatic heat bluing lends extra fascination to this dramatic blade. By using two carbon steels along with pure nickel, Tom has created a Damascus that has deep blue and purple tones with bright reflective lines moving through the surface. The mixture of bold patterns with miniscule details makes the blade as captivating from a distance as up close.
The gentle arch of the Persian shaped blade is continued in the comfortable curve of the handle. The Timascus has tones of blue and purple. It is carved and textured. The golden tones of the textured flames reveal the patterning hidden underneath. Tom specializes in knives that are visually exciting, yet still retain a friendly, organic design.
Timascus is a new material which is quickly hitting the knife market with a vengeance. First created by a group which includes Tom Ferry, Timascus is a very light and durable "Damascus" created by forging different grades of Titanium. This can be heat blued to a spectacular array of colors.
The liners and backbar have been fully fileworked. The interior of the backbar has been textured and gold anodized. The blade is perfectly centered and has silky smooth action.
