Description: This early Audra Draper hunter is a collector's dream. It was created early in 1996 and shows the full potential in the future woman to become the first female ABS Mastersmith. It has been in a single collection since it was first created and is in new condition. It has never been sharpened or used to cut.
Audra Draper did her training under Mastersmith Ed Fowler and this piece reflects some of his direction. The blade is hand forged from 52100 carbon steel and features a differential heat treat. The resulting blade will have exceptional edge retention while having a softer resilient spine. This heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Ed Fowler and has been proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. The ironwood handle is gently rounded and fits comfortably into the palm.
