Description: William Scagel's sleek blade design revolutionized knifemaking since the early part of the 20th Century. With an upturned, almost sickle-like shape, the blade is strong and broad.
This Scagel style camp knife by Gil Hibben is an excellent collector's item as well as made for regular use. The blade is mirror polished 440c surgical stainless steel with a fine balance. The handle is masterfully done, with stacked leather spaced with 17 separate pieces of red, black and brass material. The handle ends in a two-piece crown stag fitting that flares out at the butt for a surer, comfortable grip. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
