Description: This is the largest Bowie that I have seen created by ABS Mastersmith Jay Hendrickson. The blade is very thick, with a spine of approximately 1/3" and 2 1/3" wide. It was created in 1995 and is in mint condition. The clip point blade shows a strong differential heat treat line that will result in exceptional edge retention. The stacked guard has been fully fileworked. The curly maple handle is created from a single piece and features a fleur de lis theme. The handle has been differentially colored to evoke a medieval shield. The large handle swells at the palm and feels extremely comfortable in the hand. The sheath is very sturdy, with the basswood form. Excellent fit and finish throughout. A rare find!
