Description: American Bladesmith Society Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley has been one of the major forces to define the American folding knife today. The design, fit, finish, and action are all exception. Rick has only recently added gold inlay to his arsenal of styles and it has added a whole new dimension to his work.
The mosaic Damascus used on the blade and bolsters is created by forge welding a two bar opposing twist. This seamless merges with the mild steel scales. 12 sapphires and 8 rubies are set. These are connected with lines of 24k gold wire inlay. The 15N20 liners and 1084 carbon steel back bar have been heat blued, textured, and fully fileworked.
The screws have been textured to match the stippling on the handle. The hand turned thumb stud has been fileworked and holds a sapphire. Excellent fit and finish throughout. Great action with a well centered blade.
