Description: The sturdy dendritic D-2 carbon steel blade is fileworked in the vine pattern and has a tapered tang. Dendritic steel produces a blade with a very bitey edge, which is all the more impressive due to the cryogenic heat treat by Gerome Weinand. This blade was hardened to Rc60-61. The maple burl handle has a dramatic swirling grain structure and is well-accented by the sheep horn, brass bolster, and red liners. The knife fits very well in the hand. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
