Blade: 52100 carbon steel with an antiqued patina finish
Handle: Eastern curly maple with black and natural sinew wrap and poured pewter collar, end caps, and decorative accent
Description: Lonnie's Tomahawk Hammer is very traditional in style. The synthetic sinew gives an excellent grip for using the hammer. The pewter accents are poured directly into wood and then finished. The Eastern curly maple is well figured and very dramatic. The head is 52100 carbon steel with an antiqued patina finish. 52100 is considered by many to be the best carbon steel for edge retention. Sculpted accents on the head finish this piece to perfection. The head length is 8" and the cutting edge is 3 1/2". This piece is very sturdy and well weighted for chopping as well as hammering.
