Description: This spectacular early Van Barnett folder was created in 1990 and is in new condition. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday. The fit and finish is exceptional, with a strong lock mechanism, a perfectly centered blade and excellent action. Van has become well known for his precision engraving and inlay. This is one of the first knives that he inlaid and engraved. The leaf and vine motif is well executed and shows excellent detail. The frame has been file worked and the backbar is matching Damascus. A rare and exceptional find!
