Description: American Bladesmith Society Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley has been one of the major forces to define the American folding knife today. The design, fit, finish, and action are all exception. The intricacy and originality of his Damascus is rarely found in other's work. Now, as Rick moves into gold inlay, an entirely new arena is open
This is the first piece that Rick completed with gold inlay. It is highlighted against the Damascus to a great effect.
The screws have been fully fileworked and heat blued. The 15N20 carbon steel liners and 1084 backbar have been heat blued and fully fileworked. The hand turned thumb stud has been fileworked and heat blued and holds a diamond. Caramel and cream tones move through the mammoth ivory scales, with darker veins of blue/green. The scales have been dovetailed for a perfect fit to the double Damascus bolsters. Excellent fit and finish throughout. Silky smooth action with a perfectly centered blade.
