Description: A tribute to America, Barry Gallagher has created a truly unique one-of-a-kind knife. It is rare for him to use steel from other makers due to his tremendous skill at creating some of the most detailed steel found anywhere. When Ed Schempp forged the "Live to Ride - Ride to Live" Damascus, he only made enough for Barry Gallagher, and the combined effort is spectacular.
The heat blued blade shows multiple tones of blue/purple mixed with lines of pure nickel. The Live to Ride words surround a detailed motorcycle. A tremendously detailed mosaic pattern forms the background. Exhibition grade whitelip mother of pearl scales are dovetailed to the bolsters for a perfect fit. Heat blued and fileworked screws attach the bolsters and scales. Extremely detailed filework on the backbar and 15N20 liners add to the complexity of this piece. A ruby thumbstud assures easy opening. The interior of the spine is inlaid with four blue sapphires, four red rubies, and 2 cubic zirconians.
Excellent fit and finish throughout with a perfectly centered blade.
