Description: The mako, which is one of Steve's most recent designs, is a spectacular knife and this, the first mako to be sword proportioned, is amazing. The chisel ground, double beveled clip is fully sharpened. It is a piece that you will want to have by your side. The black ray skin and resin impregnated wrap gives an excellent grip in the hand. The hamon is the result of the traditional Japanese method of clay tempering which retains the resilience of the spine while hardening the edges for superior sharpness. Steve's knives are well tested in the field and are extremely well executed.
Only the first 25 knives of a design are numbered by Steve. This Mako is numbered "01".
