Description: Ron Best's craftsmanship and skill shine through on this Western influenced katana. The blade is mirror polished D2, a high carbon steel used extensively in the tool and die industry. The high chromium content gives the steel additional resistance to corrosion, while the high carbon content allows it to maintain an excellent edge. The apple seed grind is designed for high performance cutting. The spine has been file worked for a dramatic effect. Decorative work on the ricasso includes an inlaid mosaic pin. The two handed stacked handle gives excellent control over the blade. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
