Description: Roger Bergh's knives have a style all of their own. The foxtail handle shape is a traditional shape from Finland. It comfortably wraps around the palm for a very secure grip.
The half horn sheath is influenced by the Sami people of Scandinavia. I was extremely pleased when Roger created several Sami influenced knives this year. Here, he has created a traditional half-horn sheath, with a leather top along with fossilized mammoth ivory, masur birch, and pewter spacers. The effect is spectacular. By combining the timeless patterns of the Sami people with the materials that Roger knows so well, he has created a knife that speaks for itself.
The blade is a two bar composite forged from carbon steels. The edge bar is firecracker pattern Damascus forged from 15N20 and 20L carbon steels for excellent edge retention.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
