Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought out and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. The black buffalo horn handle is offset with alternating amber and green dyed and stabilized maple spacers for excellent contrast. The stainless steel guard and butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand. The spine is lightly fileworked, creating a perfect thumb rest. By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to 57Rc for optimal edge retention. Comes with certificate from the maker.
This knife was featured on page 90 of the October 2006 issue of Blade Magazine.
