Description: Tom creates some of the most innovative knives anywhere, from the detail in the Damascus, to being one of the creators of Timascus. The "Biohazard" pattern Damascus is well-forged and clearly etched. He is creating 10 knives with a biohazard Damascus theme. This is the second to be created and the last with this specific pattern. The sculpting of the ricasso is symmetrical and clean. The blue Timascus handle fits snugly in the hand and allows the fileworked tang to be visible and the grip to be comfortable. Timascus is a new material which is quickly hitting the knife market with a vengeance. First created by a group which includes Tom Ferry, Timascus is a very light and durable "Damascus" created by forging different grades of Titanium. This can be heat blued to a spectacular array of colors. Shown first at the OKCA show this year, Timascus just received a feature article and Blade Magazine and is becoming one of the hot new handle materials. The mother of pearl window frames have subtle color flash with great figuring. The handle flares at the end to a textured titanium half tang that keeps the knife securely in the hand.
