Description: I was extremely pleased when Roger created several traditional Sami influenced knives this year. Here, he has created a traditional half-horn sheath, with a leather top along with fossilized mammoth ivory and ironwood. The effect is spectacular. The knife feels extremely comfortable in the hand, in part due to the gentle swell of the handle at the palm. The contrasting tones of the fossil walrus ivory and mammoth ivory with the deep tones of the exhibition grade ironwood makes this a captivating piece. The firecracker edge, which is forged from 15N20 and 20L carbon steels, will have excellent edge retention. Fossil walrus ivory bead.
