Description: I was extremely pleased when Roger created several traditional Sami influenced knives this year. Here, he has created a traditional half-horn sheath, with a leather top along with reindeer horn and willow root. The effect is spectacular. The knife feels extremely comfortable in the hand, in part due to the gentle swell of the handle at the palm. The front bolster has been formed from fossilized mammoth ivory and sculpted at the bottom for a secure finger hold. The firecracker edge, which is forged from 15N20 and 20L carbon steels, will have excellent edge retention. Fossil walrus ivory bead.
