Description: This sole authorship hunter is truly inspiring. The Damascus on this hunter is among the more captivating patterns that I have ever seen, showing great control and amazing detail. The fit and finish is meticulously done. Numbered C66. The blade has been given a distal taper for prefect balance. If this weren't enough, Jim is the only maker that I have ever seen make mosaic mokume (Damascus forged from non-ferrous materials). Through this difficult process, Jim is able to create many of the patterns that he uses when making his Damascus, but from nickel silver, copper and brass. Excellent fit and finish. The handle is carved from the nut of the Australian tree Banksia Grandis, which has been used for wood turning for many years. This is among the first knife handles I have seen made from this fascinating natural wood, and the effect is exceptional.
