Description: The Gibeon meteorite which forms the bolsters of this elegant liner lock landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa, over 4 billion years ago. The Gibeon fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern, which is one of the richest and most distinct patterns found in meteorites. The fit and finish on this one-of-a-kind folder is truly spectacular. The blade is well centered and has excellent action. The Damascus (Damasteel) Damascus backbar melds perfectly into the Damascus spine when open, even perfectly spacing the pattern. The meeting between the bolsters and the scales is seamless.
