Description: The is the last of Kevin's 5 journeyman test knives. When an apprentice smith tests for journeyman, he makes five knives that are judged based on fit and finish by a panel of mastersmiths. Generally, these are among the five best knives that the smith has made to date and are among the most collectable knives of the maker's career. Kevin decided to keep this knife for one year following his journeyman test (June of 2001) to gain inspiration through this past year. The natural shape of the handle creates one of the best fielding handles that I have ever felt. The balance is excellent, in part due to the distal tapered, upswept blade.
