Description: Since 1997, Randall's Adventure and Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives under the ESEE brand specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. Many ESEE knives now serve in the combat zones of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other remote locales. ESEE Knives is setting the standard for many local, state, and federal law enforcement officers when it comes to high performance, compact sheath knives with multiple carry options. ESEE has worked to design their knives with the U.S. Marshals Service, USMS SOG teams, U.S. Special Forces teams, Navy Special Boat Teams, Peruvian Special Forces, Colombian Police Forces, the Peruvian Anti-Narcotics Task Force, survival experts, and outdoorsmen and adventurers all over the world. Randall's Adventure and Training courses and gear have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications. All ESEE logo knives are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. by Rowen Manufacturing in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Every knife is backed by the best no-questions-asked warranty in the industry!
The ESEE-5 is a larger version of the popular ESEE-4. The 5-1/4 inch blade length tackles larger tasks with ease, batoning larger pieces of wood or lopping large branches to make a shelter. A saber grind maintains a thicker spine for more of the blade, making it an ideal blade grind for hard tasks.
The drop point blade is textured black powder coated 1095 carbon steel, hardened to 55-57 Hrc. 1095 is tough and very impact resistant, making it a great steel choice for a bushcrafting knife. Jimping along the spine allows more control when using the knife for finer detail tasks.
Handle scales are canvas Micarta, secured to the full tang using torx screws. This allows the scales to be removed if cleaning or maintenance is needed. A small divot in the handle allows the use of a bow drill. The exposed tang features a lanyard hole if extra retention is desired. The tang is also shaped to be a striking point or glass breaker.
To keep the knife close at hand, a molded sheath is included. A mountable belt clip is included which allows the sheath to be adjusted for vertical or horizontal carry.
Made in the USA.
