Description: Frank Edwards began his journey into knifemaking in 2009 and started forging in 2011. He joined the American Bladesmith Society in 2017 and has taken classes from some of the greats in the custom knife world including Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Rick Dunkerley. In a relatively short time, Frank is creating world class folders that rival those made by his teachers.
The spear point blade is CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth, consistent action. The knife can be opened using the right-handed nail nick, though it is just is easy to open by pinching the top of the blade.
Handle scales are carbon fiber, set on fileworked stainless steel liners. The satin finished spring is engraved with Frank's touchmark. The scales are perfectly fit to satin finished stainless steel bolsters.
Excellent work throughout!
