Description: Rian Doudle is a bladesmith and farrier hailing from Edinburgh North, South Australia. He enjoys spending his days forging out damascus and integral style knives. As a Veteran himself, he helps other Veterans through working together, making cold steel the old school way. Hard work, good mates, coffee, camaraderie, a few tall stories and creating handmade knives to be used by professionals. We were very excited to meet Rian at Blade Show Texas and look forward to offering his knives on BladeGallery.
The clip point blade was hand forged from mosaic Damascus, combining carbon steels to ensure excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The high contrast pattern is draws attention both up close and from afar. The blade is flat ground and razor sharp. The Fallen Forge touchmark is on the right side of the knife.
The handle is sculpted from ringed gidgee (Acacia cambagei). This dramatic wood is an Acacia species native in south eastern Australia. It has a dramatic figure similar to curly koa, combined with excellent stability. The handle is fit perfectly to a satin finished bronze guard. Alternating white and black fiber spacers will help the natural wood adjust to humidity and temperature changes.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled pouch style leather custom sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
