Description: This high performance European-style straight razor is a real pleasure in the hand. Mastersmith Bill Burke's edges are legendary for their high level of performance -- his straight razors set a new level of quality.
The super-thin, hollow ground blade was hand forged from Bill's own Twist pattern damascus, combining 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels. The full hollow grind results in "stars" in the center of the damascus blade. A particularly small grain structure is created by a heat treatment process incorporating low temperature forging, a triple quench, and a triple temper.
Ancient walrus ivory handle scales measuring approximately 5 1/2 inches, combine cream and caramel tones. Copper washers ensure a consistent, smooth action.
Excellent work throughout!
