Description: Jerry Corbit is a Kentucky knifemaker who began his career in 1991. He mostly makes folding knives with high end materials. He is felt by many to be among the best folder makers found anywhere and seeing a folder like this, it is no surprise. This folder has been in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and by all appearances, Corbit could have made it yesterday.
The blade is hand ground ladder pattern damascus. It is easily opened using the 18k gold thumb stud set with a faced ruby. The blade features an elegant boot grind.
416 stainless steel scales are meticulously engraved by master engraver Bruce Shaw. The engraving combines floral scroll with running wheat patterns. 18k gold inlays add tremendous contrast. Presentation grade blacklip mother of pearl is set in window frames.Like the scales, the backbar is meticulously engraved and inlaid with sections of blacklip mother of pearl. Faceted rubies are set into the backbar. The liners are hand fileworked in a fine vine pattern. The handle is completed with an 18k gold bail.
