Description: South African knifemaker Nico Pelzer is best known for creating exceptionally detailed, finely tuned folders. A perfect blend of presentation and functionality, this folder will feel right at home in your pocket, but could easily be the center piece of a serious knife collection. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Nico could have made it yesterday!
The drop point blade is hand ground damascus forged by renowned South African damascus maker Ettore Gianferrari. The blade is high contrast and extremely engaging. The blade can be easily deployed using the right-handed thumbstud.
Ancient mammoth ivory scales are set on anodized and fileworked titanium liners. The scales are brought to a high polish and show cream, caramel, and rare blue tones throughout the ivory. These colors move into the ivory while buried in the permafrost for thousands of years. The scales are fit perfectly to damascus bolsters also forged by Ettore Gianferrari. The handle is finished with a matching damascus backspacer.
A black leather pocket pouch will keep the knife safe while carrying it.
Excellent work throughout!
