Description: Tinus Stone is a custom knifemaker from Mossel Bay on the Western Cape of South Africa. He mainly makes slipjoints and is known for his clean lines and great fit & finish.
The blade on this Small Native Slipjoint Folder is hand ground N690 stainless steel. Bohler N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance use knives. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality to Tinus' work. Tinus' maker mark is on the left side of the blade.
Wild olive (Olea europaea ssp. africana) handle scales are set on stainless steel liners. The light toned wood has a nice mix of light and dark tones. Thin yellow fiber liners complement the scales nicely. The contoured handle feels extremely comfortable in your hand.
This folder is nicely timed with a firm half-stop. The action throughout is smooth and consistent.
The knife is accompanied by a leather slip pocket pouch for easy carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
