Description: This bowie is a collaboration between Mastersmith David Lisch and up-and-coming Journeymansmith Jeremy Yelle. David forged the exquiste mosaic damascus blade and Jeremy make the handle and fittings. This exciting collaboration is sure to be the gem of any collection!
Lisch forged the mosaic damascus blade from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, ensuring excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The high contrast, intricate pattern is easily recognizable as one of Lish's blades. The clip runs almost the entire length of the blade and stops just short of being fully sharpened. Lisch's touchmark is on the spine of the blade. Yelle's touchmark is on the left side.
The handle is African blackwood, hand faceted by Jeremy Yelle. African blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) is among the most dense, durable woods in the world and is highly prized for its jet black appearance. The handle is heirloom fit to the forge textured guard and bronze spacer. This is a knife you won't want to put down!
Excellent work throughout!
