Description: Journeyman Smith Mike Clark is a tremendously talented bladesmith. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his JS Test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. He builds knives with great build quality. Whether a highlight a collector or carried daily, Mike Clark's knives are a real pleasure.
This boot dagger is a prime example of Mike's clean work. The spear point blade is high performance 80CrV2 carbon steel and features a meticulous hand rubbed satin finish. 80CrV2 carbon steel has extreme toughness coupled with excellent edge holding making it perfect for a hard use knife. The top swedge stops just short of being fully sharpened. Mike's mark is on the left side of the blade.
Handle scales are black paper Micarta, hand contoured to provide a comfortable grip. The tang extends beyond the scales creating a glass breaker at the back of the handle. The handle is very comfortable, yet thin and easy to carry.
To keep the knife close at hand, a brown leather custom sheath with a built in clip is included.
Excellent work throughout!
