Description: Seattle native Jeff Driscoll's knives are unique, dramatic creations. A plumber by day and knifemaker by night, Jeff loves using handmade knives as his artistic canvas. Sceptre is handmade by him and there isn't another knife like it!
The high performance mosaic damascus blade was forged from carbon steels by renowned Swedish bladesmith Johan Gustafsson. It is an elegant, complex pattern that grabs attention from a distance and holds onto it upon closer examination. Gustafsson is well known for his beautiful heat colored damascus patterns. Because the blade is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and wood handle.
The handle is hand carved ziricote wood. The highly sculpted handle emulates a claw grasping a ball. Decorative pins are set throughout the handle. A pinkish purple spinel gem is set into the top of the ball. The handle is fit to a textured nickel silver bolster. The pentagonal handle provides a comfortable grip both in hand and when pulling it from its sheath.
The teak wood sheath is set into an ironwood base. This allows the knife to sit on display when it is not in use. Hand hammered copper wire is woven throughout the base creating a tornado-like effect.
Nice work throughout!
