Description: Seattle native Jeff Driscoll's knives are unique, dramatic creations. A plumber by day and knifemaker by night, Jeff loves using handmade knives as his art canvas. Jeff is often influenced by the work of Swedish makers which really comes across on this Nordic style hunter.
The exquisite damascus blade was forged by Vlad Matveev of Bryansk, Russia. The multi-bar constructed blade features a firecracker pattern at the edge, a central mosaic damascus bar, and a twist pattern bar at the spine. The combination of different patterns is extremely engaging. Matveev's touchmark is on the left ricasso.
The stacked handle features a central column of stabilized maple burl. Reindeer antler and rosewood spacers are surrounded by smaller fine silver spacers. A mammoth ivory bolster and end cap finish the handle. Both the top and bottom of the handle is chamfered, providing a comfortable, slip-resistant grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Nordic style swivel sheath is included. The sheath combines a maple burl and ebony core with a leather upper. A section of mammoth ivory is set into the reverse side of the sheath.
Great work throughout!
