Description: Lloyd Pendleton sold his first knife in 1973. He's made just about every style of knife from hunters to boot knives. His knives have clean no-nonsense designs with an excellent level of fit and finish. This Boot Knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. The knife is in brand new condition and by all appearances, it could have been made yesterday!
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade features a mirror polish. ATS-34 stainless steel is high in carbon and chromium giving excellent chip resistant, edge holding, and corrosion resistance. The top edge is fully sharpened. Lloyd's mark is on the left side of the blade.
Handle scales are whitelip mother of pearl, secured to the tang using six stainless steel pins. The pearl is sculpted to provide a comfortable grip. The tang is distal tapered to reduce weight and provide excellent balance in hand. Tapered burgundy Micarta liners add a nice contrast to the pearl scales. A satin finished 416 stainless steel guard finishes the handle.
To keep the knife close at hand, a leather sheath with metal belt clip is included.
Excellent work throughout!
