Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey teaches bladesmithing courses, with students travelling from all over the world to learn his techniques. Kevin uses the Heavin Forge mark on his knives when he creates a knife while demonstrating for his classes. This is one such knife.
This Camp Chopper is the perfect outdoor companion. The 9-3/4 inch blade is used for cutting through vegetation as well as chopping wood for the camp fire. From clearing brush for making trails, to chopping firewood, to general purpose tasks around the camp site, this knife has you covered!
The blade was hand forged from 5160 carbon steel. 5160 combines exceptional edge holding with tremendous resilience, allowing the blade to withstand the rigors of hard work. The knife features an elegant, antique finish. The Heavin Forge mark can be seen on the left side of the blade.
Resilient Dymondwood handle scales are set on the full tang using Corby hidden bolt rivets and a nickel silver lanyard tube. A leather lanyard is included at the back of the handle to provide extra retention.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched brown leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
