Description: Richard Soler is a talented knifemaker from Auriol, France. He specializes in high performance front flippers. The influence of his good friend and fellow maker Guy Pogetti can clearly be seen in his work. Richard's knives are exceptional, and we are excited to showcase it here in the United States where his work is rarely available.
The flat ground blade is san mai forged from carbon steel. A bronze transition layer pops elegantly against the blackened steel. Soler's mark is on the left side of the blade.
The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth, drop-shut action thanks to the ball bearing pivot. The blade can be easily deployed using the front flipper tab using your thumb or index finger.
Handle scales are mammoth ivory bark taken from the outside of the tusk. Titanium liners surround a carbon fiber backbar. A lanyard can be added to the back of the knife if desired. The handle is extremely comfortable and offers a solid grip.
Excellent work throughout!
