Description: I was excited when Mastersmith David Lisch introduced me to Mike Clark Jr. Mike's attention to detail was clearly evident in his exquisite work. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his journeyman smith test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. As the years have moved by, he has continued to develop his knife styles and skills. He is clearly a maker to watch.
This clip point bowie was forged to shape from Clark's own damascus. By combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, Mike ensures a keen, long lasting edge. Because this knife is made from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation.
The handle is formed from a section of premium sambar stag. Stag of this quality is rarely seen today. The stag column is perfectly fit to the antique wrought iron guard, spacer, and end cap. As is typical of Mike Clark's work, this knife features take down construction. This technique, which requires exceptional attention to detail, allows the knife to be disassembled if it ever needs repair.
This knife is accompanied by a custom hand tooled, hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
