Description: Jason Clark is a part time, sole authorship knifemaker from O'Brien, Florida. Jason has been a Florida Law Enforcement Officer since 1997 and knows what it takes to make a high functioning knife that is meant to be used. He even offers lifetime free sharpening for any knife he has made!
The tanto blade is perfectly centered with silky smooth, drop shut action -- easily opened with one hand using the ambidextrous flipper toggle. It uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
The 3 inch drop point blade is high performing CPM-154 stainless steel and features a satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant.
Presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood handle scales are set on anodized titanium liners. The free floating backbar is made from textured titanium which keeps the knife light, but strong. The inside of the backbar is laser engraved with the IKBS logo, the steel used, and the rockwell hardness the steel tested at. The handle is finished with an anodized titanium pocket clip mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
