Description: Whether creating fixed blades or folders, Ron Best creates some of the most dramatic knives to be found anywhere and this is an exceptional example of one of his art folders.
The blade is formed from Mike Norris ladder pattern stainless damascus. The central ridge moves into a fuller. The blade has silky smooth, consistent action. It is perfectly centered and locks with a satisfying click.
The meticulously carved handle is 416 stainless steel. A step down at the front of the handle creates the illusion of a longer blade. Antique shell inlays on each side of the handle are set on 24k gold leaf, creating a brilliant golden reflection. The shell was recovered from an antique jewelry box. Four faceted diamonds set in a gold bezel are set inlaid into each side. Both the 416 stainless steel and inlaid damascus are hand contoured into elegant art nouveau curves. The steel throughout the handle is mirror polished.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout on a very captivating, elegant knife.
