Description: Enrique Pena from Laredo, Texas has been making fine custom knives since 2006. He builds high quality folders both modern and traditional, including flippers, slipjoints, and lockback folders. He learned to make traditional style knives from reknowned knifemakers Bill Ruple and Rusty Preston. Enrique's knives are designed to be used and carried, but could easily be the gem of any collection!
The Dog Leg Front Flipper is a compact folder perfect for daily carry. The hand rubbed satin finished blade is premium CPM-154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The front flipper tab and spine have been jimped to improve traction.
The blade is perfectly centered with silky-smooth, drop shut action thanks to the caged bearing system. The discreet ambidextrous front flipper tab can be used to easily deploy the blade with one hand.
Handle scales are formed from butterscotch Micarta set on satin finished titanium liners. A stainless steel escutcheon is inlaid into the left side. The bolster and backspacer are made from matching natural Micarta. Black liners are used throughout.
Excellent work throughout!
