Description: Andy Burke is the son of renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke. Over the years, Andy has had the opportunity work with Bill and he has created some truly spectacular knives. Andy has a tremendous sense of design and has implemented this knife with the fit and finish befitting Bill’s son.
The blade is formed from feather pattern damascus, beginning with 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. The exquisite pattern has damascus that appears to radiate from a central quill. By using carbon steels, Andy ensures excellent edge retention. The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action. It is easily opened single handed with the thumb stud, which holds a faceted ruby.
The handle combines presentation grade mammoth ivory with heat colored and textured 416 stainless steel. This mammoth ivory combines green tones with caramel. Green tones, which develop across thousands of years, are very rare. The ivory is heirloom fit to the elegant textured bolsters. Screws throughout are fileworked and heat colored.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout - tremendous.
